Preparing Today's Students for Tomorrow's World

States Matter-Science

The Burlington Middle School TRC team of 8th grade teachers developed a plan to involve students in an interdisciplinary unit with social studies content as the unifying theme. Each student focused on a specific state of the United States as they applied the various academic disciplines to their projects. Students in Mrs. Debbie Reed's science class researched the climate of their state, and created an Animoto music video to showcase what they found. Each student authored a web page to compile and share all the products they created in this interdisciplinary unit.
