Students in Denise Hanson’s 3rd grade classroom at Enterprise Elementary in Wichita, KS compared and contrasted two versions of the same fairy tale. They broke down the literature to compare and contrast the characters, setting, and problem/solution by using graphic organizers. The students then created either a PowerPoint or a PhotoStory3 to demonstrate their learning. Students were rated using a rubric they helped to create by themselves and their peers as well as the teacher.
