After a presentation by the Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Center, students at Avenue A Elementary School in Hutchinson, Ks, saw an opportunity to help meet the needs of a community organization. Students in Mrs. Thomas, Mrs. Lillard, Mrs. Simmons, and Ms. Boese's classrooms created and ran a store. They effectively used their math skills to make a profit to buy needed items for the center. Applications such as Pages, Comic Life, Numbers, and Google Docs were used throughout the project.
