Preparing Today's Students for Tomorrow's World
A Price to be Thankful For!
Thomas Schmitz, grant facilitator for USD 263, worked collaboratively with the local TRC teachers (Trista Cuthbertson, grade 3; Katie Entwisle, grade 3; Jan Ward, grade 4; and Jason Townsend, grade 5) to expand the math knowledge of all students involved in Mulvane’s TRC grant. The students were challenged to compare the price for preparing a Thanksgiving Day meal in the year 1990 with the prices for preparing the same Thanksgiving Day meal in the year 2009.
