HOTS Despite Standardized Exams

If you are trying to figure out a way to manage standardized testing while integrating Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) and student-centered activities into your classroom, consider Journey North. These free, collaborative projects help address math, science, reading, and writing standards while offering your students an authentic audience to learn with.

Journey North is now accepting participants for a variety of fun and educational spring projects from Mystery Classrooms to their Monarch Watch. Take a look and know that in many classrooms, these projects can be managed by the students. Also, while students will likely be collecting and analyzing data over a period of time, they typically only take a few minutes each day/week (depending on the project) to complete.
