Picture Book Trailers

Monique Woods,  5^th grade teacher at L’Ouverture Elementary needed her students to better understand all the literary elements of a story but they were struggling with
it until they had a purpose. The students created a 30-60 second book trailer
to entice the k-2 students in the building to get exciting about reading picture
books.  Students used either PhotoStory3
or Movie Maker to create their trailer. Monique excited her students by allowing them to create something for someone else while secretly reviewing the content that they didn't really care to learn.
