Presentation Options:
Celebration 2010 will have a few new components. There will be both "traditional" and a "table-top" presentations from Phase 6 and Phase 7 teams. A schedule for the day will be posted around April 15th after final presentation write-ups have been received from TRC facilitators. For details regarding the Traditional and Table-Top presentation options click here to download a PDF version of the information. Click here to view lesson plan and video rubrics and samples. Click here to download a copy of the lesson plan template that you are welcome to use but are not required to use. Just be sure that the lesson plan format that you use aligns with the lesson plan rubric linked above.

Posting Celebration Information:
This year we are asking that all TRC teams post the lesson plans for lessons, units and projects being shared at Celebration. For those TRC teams who choose to do the Table-Top presentation we are also asking that you submit a video that corresponds with your lesson plan and presentation. Please click here for detailed Instructions for Posting Celebration Lesson Plans and Materials.

Deadline:

ALL LESSON PLANS, VIDEOS AND PRESENTATION DESCRIPTIONS (via Google Form below) ARE DUE ON MARCH 31ST.

Facilitator Celebration Checklist:
Due to the newness of the information, we wanted to provide facilitators with a management tool to ensure that all of the Celebration components have been addressed. Please note that only Phase 6 facilitators are required to submit teacher awards (as requested via a direct email to those facilitators). By the March 31st deadline, facilitators will ensure that:

  • Team lesson plan(s) have been submitted to the Ning (regardless of selected presentation option, Traditional or Table-Top)
  • Copyright free video(s) have been submitted to the Ning (if the team is presenting via Table-Top) SEE NOTE BELOW REGARDING PERMISSIONS AND COPYRIGHT
  • The Google Form has been completed BY THE FACILITATOR ONLY PLEASE. This form includes the presentation title, description, etc.
  • Any student who's face or voice can be seen or heard on any form of multimedia being presented or posted to the Ning has a signed parental permission form. Please reserve a copy of all forms to give to Amber and KSDE for our legal records.
  • The TRC team, including administrators, are aware of the Best Facilitator and Best Administrator of the Year awards (More information on TRC Awards can be seen by clicking here)
  • Transportation and lodging to the Celebration event have been arranged (where applicable)

Handouts: We will ask that all presentation handouts be uploaded to the TRC Ning within the Collaboration Center and under the Celebration Materials section no later than May 5th, 2010. Printed handouts are an option this year but if your team would like to bring paper copies of materials, 50 copies should be sufficient.

You will need to be sure that it allows you to share the work and if you alter the music in anyway from the downloaded copy then you will need to have permission to alter it as well. Your best bet is to make your own music!
