Technology Rich Classroom Program

Preparing Today's Students for Tomorrow's World

Ruby Crawford, Humboldt Middle School teacher, directed her 7th and 8th grade reading and language arts classes to big screen performances.  Figurative language was the theme and the students determined the best method to create and demonstrate the meaning. They were able to support their learning while creating games.  Integrating technology, working in small collaborative groups, and student directed learning earned an Oscar for all students.

The original script for "Blowing Your Own Horn" has an objectionable word.  This attachment softens that one word.  A reader who has not heard the background for the subtitle of the project might take that expression the wrong way.
