Preparing Today's Students for Tomorrow's World
Community Interaction Celebration 2011
After a presentation by the Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Center, students at Avenue A Elementary School in Hutchinson, Ks, saw an opportunity to help meet the needs of a community organization. Students in Mrs. Thomas, Mrs. Lillard, Mrs Simmons, and Ms. Boese's classrooms used their math skills to make a profit to buy needed items for the center. Applications such as Pages, Numbers, Comic Life, and Google Docs were used throughout the project. Students also used Garage Band to reflect on this project.
