Christmas Around the World
The 3rd Grade students and Lincoln Elementary have done Christmas Around the World projects for years, but it has never been so much fun. Mrs. Hays, Mrs. Roth, Mrs. Ferguson and Mrs. Burch have gradually been adding more of a techie twist to the unit and the kids love it.
Students will analyze information from websites the teacher has posted on Delicious (our social bookmarking site). Each student will choose countries from their ancestry and then choose others they are interested in and build a powerpoint from this information. Each slide will include the country’s name, a relevant picture, three interesting facts, and the country’s flag. The powerpoint should include 8 to 10 countries.
